The Objects of Art : Sabine van Gent's Mudgee gallery

Sabine's vision when she opened The Objects of Art was not only to sell jewellery from her showroom, but also to design and make one-off pieces to her client's special wishes.

While her first loves are diamonds and pearls, Sabine works across the whole spectrum of  precious stones and metals.

As well as her hand-made jewellery, "The Objects of Art" showcases the works of selected local artists in a variety of media.

Currently, these include paintings and ceramics by Anne Flynn, glass pieces by Paddy Robinson, cartoons by Trevor McDonald, to wooden bowls made of exotic Australian woods made by Andrew Schmidt, and photographs by Christopher Wright. There is also a special  display of cartoons by the Belgian artist, Hergé, of of his famous creation, Tintin, Boy Detective.

In addition, Sabine runs regular workshops for children and adults, to introduce them to the craft of jewellery making and design. For dates and costs please email sabinevangent@sabinevangent.com.au
